“A Nightmare on Elm Street 3” was both the dream warriors and it was the one set in the mental hospital. They were in the hospital because they all had Freddy dreams and the rest of the world considered this to be crazy. They wound up banding together during their therapy sessions (take note of a young Laurence Fishburne as one of the orderlies of the hospital.) Also It was not in 3D, Although I can see Topo’s thinking because a lot of 3rd sequels of the time were in 3D (i.e. Friday the Thirteenth 3D & Jaws 3D) it was Freddy’s Dead (the 6th in the series) that was in 3D. It was also the one that showed the “origin” of Freddy’s use of the glove as a gardening tool.
I was “screaming at my computer” just so you know.
Surprise, surprise Topo’s favorite slasher movie villain is a kid toucher.
